October 16, 2014 _ Law Leaders Lab has published new research on how buyers of Legal Services make define the value of legal services. Based on first-person interviews with executives and general counsel of mid-sized companies, the research focused on what drives decision making and what clients want when it comes to legal services. The report,”The Evolution of Value in Legal Services,” is available for free by visiting the Law Leaders Lab website at www.lawleaderslab.com.
The report was written by Debra Baker, CEO and founder of Law Leaders Lab. The research was a partnership between Law Leaders Lab and Carol McAvoy Consulting.
Among the findings:
- While relationships remain vital, how relationships are developed and maintained is changing.
- Clients appreciate the time and effort lawyers put in to solving legal problems, but don’t equate time with value.
- A direct correlation exists between the business impact a legal issue has on an organization and the perceived value of the legal services provided.
